Treatment is Activity
Activity is the Treatment for reduced activity due to back or leg related symptoms. Lack of activity or too much rest only makes it more difficult to regain reasonably comfortable activity tolerance. We have no pill, operation, or gadget that can avoid the discomfort of athletes in pre-season training, recruits in basic training or anyone assuming a higher activity level than in the recent past - especially as we get older. Thus, it is paramount to avoid losing the physical conditioning by staying away from activity any longer than necessary or risk having to go through "spring training" to regain the reasonably comfortable activity tolerance that conditioning provides.
